Cadets recognized for achievements at 2017 Awards Convocation

At the Awards Convocation on May 4, more than 50 awards were presented to cadets in recognition of their outstanding accomplishments.

Bret Seidler received The Joseph P. Riley Jr. Award. The award is presented to the graduating senior in the school of humanities and social sciences who best represents the commitment to academic excellence, the breadth of intellectual interests, and the dedication to public service exemplified by the life and career of Joseph P. Riley Jr., Citadel Class of 1964; state legislator from 1968 to 1974; mayor of Charleston from 1975 to 2016; and current endowed chair of American government and public policy professor at The Citadel.
