Citadel Class of 2015 graduate Colt Kirkpatrick receives The Navy League Sword in Honor of Captain H. Carl Josephson & Family

The Navy League Sword in Honor of Captain H. Carl Josephson & Family is awarded to a Navy option cadet or active duty student who has demonstrated superior academic and leadership skills during four years at The Citadel. This year, Colt Kirkpatrick was presented this award by the Charleston Council of the Navy League at the awards convocation in McAlister Field House. The sword is sponsored by Mrs. Fran Josephson-Suddeth in memory of her husband, a graduate of the United States Naval Academy in 1952 and commanding officer of the USS Trumpetfish.

Kirkpatrick, of Lexington, South Carolina, graduated on May 9th with a BSCE in Civil Engineering.
