Citadel Class of 2015 graduate John Brosch receives The Col. Charles E. Hirshey Award

The Col. Charles E. Hirshey Award recognizes the most outstanding graduate in teacher education. Dr. Charles Hirshey served as head of The Citadel's department of education from 1969 through 1979. He was a pioneer in education in the Lowcountry and a founding member of the current Citadel Graduate College.

This year, the award was presented to Class of 2015 Regimental Commander John Brosch of Ann Arbor, Michigan, at the awards convocation in McAlister Field House. The ceremony was sponsored by Jim Whetstone, Class of 1960, and his wife, Lila.

Brosch graduated on May 9th with a B.S. in Education.
