Citadel Class of 2015 graduate Shane Haydon receives The Thomas Francis McGarey Award

The Thomas Francis McGarey Award is presented to the senior cadet with the highest scholastic ranking in the field of natural science. The award is given annually by Mrs. Miriam M. Favorite in memory of her father, Thomas Francis McGarey, Citadel Class of 1914. This year, the award was presented to Shane Haydon of Charleston, South Carolina, at the awards ceremony in McAlister Field House. The ceremony was sponsored by Jim Whetstone, Class of 1960, and his wife, Lila.

Haydon graduated on May 9th with a BS in Physics.
