Citadel Class of 2016 graduate, Brian Downey, commissions into U.S. Army

Citadel Class of 2016 graduate, Brian Downey of Fort Wayne, Indiana, has commissioned into the U.S. Army.

Families, friends, faculty and staff assembled at the Summerall Chapel on The Citadel campus to honor the newly commissioned officers. The commissioning cadets and students took oaths accepting their appointments as officers in the U.S. armed services.

Downey was commissioned during a ceremony on May 6, 2016.

Downey received a B.A. in Criminal Justice during commencement on May 7, 2016.
