Citadel Class of 2016 graduate James Mixson commissions into U.S. Navy

Citadel Class of 2016 graduate, James Mixson of Statesville, North Carolina, has commissioned into the U.S. Navy.

Families, friends, faculty and staff assembled at the Summerall Chapel on The Citadel campus to honor the newly commissioned officers. The commissioning cadets and students took oaths accepting their appointments as officers in the U.S. armed services.

Mixson was commissioned during a ceremony on May 6, 2016.

Mixson received a B.S. in Civil Engineering during commencement on May 7, 2016.
