Citadel Class of 2016 graduate, John Goins, commissions into U.S. Army

Citadel Class of 2016 graduate, John Goins of Herndon, Va., has commissioned into the U.S. Army.

Families, friends, faculty and staff assembled at the Summerall Chapel on The Citadel campus to honor the newly commissioned officers. The commissioning cadets and students took oaths accepting their appointments as officers in the U.S. armed services.

Goins was commissioned during a ceremony on May 6, 2016.

Goins received a B.A. in Political Science during commencement on May 7, 2016.
