Citadel Class of 2016 graduate, Joseph Benson, commissions into U.S. Army

Citadel Class of 2016 graduate, Joseph Benson of Fayetteville, Georgia, has commissioned into the U.S. Army.

Families, friends, faculty and staff assembled at the Summerall Chapel on The Citadel campus to honor the newly commissioned officers. The commissioning cadets and students took oaths accepting their appointments as officers in the U.S. armed services.

Benson was commissioned during a ceremony on May 6, 2016.

Benson received a BA in History during commencement on May 7, 2016.
