The Citadel Graduate College recognized Kerry Sanders as a graduating member of the Class of 2017. The students were awarded their certificates, evening undergraduate and advanced degrees on May 6, 2017, at McAlister Field House on The Citadel campus in Charleston, South Carolina.

The Citadel began offering graduate level degree programs in 1968. While separate and distinct from the South Carolina Corps of Cadets in its operations, The Citadel Graduate College retains the institution's core values of Honor, Duty, Respect and its commitment to developing and equipping principled leaders.

Programs under the graduate college are open to all qualified students regardless of sex, race, age, or ethnic origin. Students do not wear uniforms nor are they a part of or participate in any of the military structure of the college that relates to cadets. The Citadel Graduate College offers 26 graduate degree programs with 42 concentration options, 24 graduate certificate programs, and eight evening undergraduate programs, through an all-evening schedule with many courses now available online.
