The Citadel celebrates its inaugural class of nursing graduates
For the first time, graduates from The Citadel are holding Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees. Twenty one of the nation's newest nurses particiated in the college's commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 4.
The group of 20 evening undergraduates, and one cadet nursing student, share the honor of making history for the college as the inaugural nursing class.
Before graduating, the class took part in the college's first Nurse Pinning Ceremony on Thursday, May 2, in Buyer Auditorium on campus. The ceremony is a long standing tradition in the nursing industry and represents a symbolic welcoming of new nurses into the profession.
