The following students have been named to the spring 2012 President's List at The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina. The President's List is the most distinguished awards list on which a cadet can be placed. It indicates excellence in academics and military duties for the previous semester. The President's List is a combination of the Dean's List and the Commandant's Distinguished Service List, which is composed of cadets who contribute the most to their companies and who have excellent military and academic records.

The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, honored the following students with Gold Stars for academic excellence during the fall semester of the 2010-2011 academic year. Gold Stars are awarded to students that achieve a 3.7 grade point average or higher.

Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges is one of the most highly regarded and long-standing honors programs in the nation. Nominations are based on strength of character, academic achievement, military achievement, leadership, campus activities and participation and excellence in athletics at the varsity, intramural or club sport level. The 2013 Summerall Guards, a silent drill platoon at The Citadel, made its debut during Corps Day Weekend March 17, 2012. The following cadets are among 61 rising seniors who have gone through a rigorous physical training and initiation process to be selected for membership. Members are chosen for their physical stamina and drill proficiency and come from every company in the South Carolina Corps of Cadets.

Twelve students at The Citadel will travel to abroad this summer thanks to a grant from The Citadel's Star of the West Foundation. The Star of the West International Summer Scholars is a one-time grant to support the academic enrichment of cadets whose project proposals presented a clear connection between the summer experience and their goals after graduation. The cadets and active duty military students received grants totaling $73,053 from the Star of the West Foundation, which helps make this type of opportunity possible.
